Synopsis

Commoditization is the invisible threat hiding in plain sight, driving the middle class to extinction. Yet the current labor movement is not prepared to fight this danger which, if left unchecked, will kill the American Dream. There is no way to turn back the hands of time. Our rapidly commoditizing world of continually optimizing Big Data algorithms has redefined our human struggle as the battle of unique versus commoditized, transparency versus isolation, and linear versus parallel. We must recognize that the problem in front of us has changed. We need to do more than just repurpose an old solution. We need to reconfigure the entire labor movement to attack commoditization.
