How do fighter jets take off at such blistering speeds? Where do they go? What do they do?
In Sharks of the Sky, author Michael "Rocker" Kracht, a former F-16 pilot, reveals the answers to these questions. From takeoff to landing, with aerial combat training and air-to-air refueling over the Atlantic Ocean in between, this realistic account of two F-16s will leave every child intrigued and in awe!

Born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Michael "Rocker" Kracht was always fascinated with airplanes, rockets, and anything else that flew. Kracht pursued his interest in aviation and his dream to fly by attending the United States Air Force Academy. After graduation, he attended Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training and earned the coveted United States Air Force pilot wings.
Kracht is a former F-16 pilot, with hundreds of flying hours in other military aircraft, including the T-6, T-38, and MQ-9. He loves to share flying stories with his children and with others who are eager to hear about his experiences as a pilot.
