You will read about dogs that were heroes during the Second World War and dogs that were heroes in outer space. Dogs that could pull twice their weight for miles and dogs that battled animals five times their size. Dogs that were remarkable for their intelligence and dogs that were just plain dumb. Humans that tried to climb mountains and humans that fell on their butts. Humans that drove too fast, humans that killed others, humans that tried illegal drugs, humans that had risky professions. The author grew up on the Northern California Coast and spent most of his working life as a Civil Engineer and Land Surveyor in the less-populated regions of California and Oregon. He is the author of "Growing Up in Redwood Country" and "Subduction Zone," also available on Kindle.
