Lydia B. Talley earned an MA from Louisiana State University and became a school counselor in 1995. She is now a licensed Christian counselor with a private practice in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She specializes in serving the spiritual and emotional needs of patients suffering from trauma.

Lydia has been married to John Talley Jr. for twenty-five years, and they have four children between them: Laurie, Michael, Julie, and Trey. Lydia and John are blessed with seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
