Synopsis

What It Means to Feel is a collection of poetry detailing moments of intense emotion. Every poem was written in truth for how it felt and as they occurred in real time (as well as hypothetical truths that have not yet taken place). What It Means to Feel veers into five specific feelings, starved, broken, loved, isolated, and alive, and how the interactions with them have influenced daily reality for the author. Trigger warnings for depression, eating disorders, self-harm, emotional abuse, realistic psychological depictions, body shaming, suicide and alcohol abuse.

À propos de l'auteur

Human is the professional name undertaken by poet, artist, and singer Christian Campbell, a California native from Riverside. Preferring he/him or they/them pronouns, Human has been creating stories for as long as they can remember. Whether it’s expressing emotional waterfalls through poetry and occasional playwriting, drawing on blank 3×5 index cards, or composing and singing original songs, they are always exploring their creative limits and pushing themselves forward. They are enrolled in multiple college courses at Riverside City College and are currently studying music. When they aren’t completely involved in a creative project, Human can be found reading poetry and fiction novels, eating copius amounts of frozen yogurt, as well as spending time with their dog and best friend, kobe. They love art in all forms and mediums, are always willing to explore some new realm of interest, and tweeting about it online. feminist and lover of all things matter and not. @ifeelhuman on Instagram and Tumblr // @ifeelhuman_ on Twitter
