Maria Francisco, was born Lilla Maria Territo in Ribera, Sicily. Surrounded by a family of great cooks, food has always been a centerpiece in Maria’s life. She was raised in a traditional Sicilian household where a family meal was served every day and everyone gathered at the table. After her family came to America, she maintained those traditions and continues to bring friends and family to the table. She has over 30 years’ experience cooking and enjoys nothing more than playing a range of music, from Andrea Boccelli or reggaeton, while cooking in the kitchen, always with a glass of red wine in one hand. Maria feels that food is the bond that brings people together. It provides not only physical, but spiritual and emotional nourishment. Good food is the way to everyone’s heart. When she is not whipping up a recipe in the kitchen, Maria enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She is a loving wife and the mother of two happy children.
