Synopsis

Author Nancy Bennett didn’t know exactly what to say when unassuming and unremarkable appearing George Ernst approached her about writing his life’s story. She asked him point-blank why he wouldn’t write it himself and was more than a little surprised at the answer.

Despite being a successful blue-collar professional It was through determination, creativity, and innovation that Ernst was able to build an amazing life for himself. Bennett had to know his secret.

She shares his story with you in this inspirational new biography. You’ll follow Ernst from his early days in a town on the banks of the Susquehanna River to his time as a rambunctious sailor and expert swing-dancer. It is on the dance floor that Ernst meets a woman who changes his life. Together, they start a new chapter full of its own challenges and amazing experiences.

As Ernst tells Bennett the story of his life, the two stumble upon a startling discovery. Ernst has never understood why, despite the support of his parents and tutors, he could not read or write. Through the process of telling his story, he may just receive an answer to this important question.
