This book describes the story of the author's success in rescuing the otter population in England, from his early filming, the raising of tame otters, the excavation of breeding pools, the setting up of an otter reserve and finally the successful release of groups of young otter cubs. Philip Wayre made wildlife films for television for many years before setting up the Otter Trust near Bungay in Suffolk with his wife. he also runs two wildlife parks, at Great Witchingham in Norfolk and at North Petherwin in Cornwall.
