Ex Library with usual stamps, dockets and defects, including an old price in red felt pen scrawled on docket on ffep. Some edge wear and creasing to top and bottom of largely mustard yellow jacket and spine, spine very slightly faded, corners slightly bruised, not price clipped (�6.00), otherwise internally clean tight and almost square, overall a reasonable copy for its age and ex library, in a vg jacket. 240pp, illustrated. An interesting book on the history of human fashion and what drives it. By Professor Quentin Bell (1910-96), art historian and biographer of his aunt Virginia Woolf, and son of the Bloomsbury Group's Vanessa and Clive Bell. Quite a scarce book.
