The editors, four intensive care clinicians from Europe, Australasia and North America, collectively agree a list of topics for each publication whilst the commissing and editing of each book is assumed by a different member of this group on a four year rotation. Where appropriate a further leading intensive care clinician to comment briefly on any points of controversy and this will be published as an addendum to the contribution.
