Hardback. Etat : Very Good. Etat de la jaquette : Very Good. First Edition Thus. 1975. First edition thus. Five preliminary pages followed by 28 pages in each issue of 'The Magnet'. Frank Richards was a pseudonym of Charles Harold St. John Hamilton (1876-1961). He wrote many stories for boys, but is best known for his 'Greyfriars' stories featuring Billy Bunter that initially appeared in Magnet magazine. The war saw the end of Magnet, but the Greyfriars stories returned in other formats. This volume is the thirty-third of a series of facsimile reprints of the Magnet, and contains issues 1413 to 1417 and 1419 to 1421 (16th March 1935 to 11th May 1935) of the magazine. The principal full story is The Sleuth of Greyfriars. The book is bound in the original green paper covered boards with gold titling on the spine. The case of the book is in very good condition with a little fading at the spine ends and along the top edge of the boards. There is a small water stain on the top edge of the front board. The contents are tight and clean with no inscription. The unclipped dustwrapper is very good with light bumping to the spine ends and nicks to the spine corners and slight fading to the spine. There is some rubbing along the top edge with a little chipping on the top rear edge and a crease across the top corner of the front flap. N° de réf. du vendeur gLitRichards25
