Ian Kemp is a freelance journalist who has written on historical and modern defence issues for publications around the world. He has a BA in History from McGill University, Montreal, and an MA in War Studies from King's College, London. He has completed more than 30 years of active and reserve military service with the armies of Britain and Canada.
