Cloth, 4to, xxi, 442 pp. At its simplest, the scope of this volume of the Catalogue is the English books printed before 1701 in the English and Welsh Anglican cathedral libraries. It covers the same ground as (and acts as a supplement to) the Bibliographical Society's Short-title Catalogue of books printed in England Scotland & Ireland and of English books printed abroad, 1475-1640 (STC) . And Donald Wing's similar Short-title Catalogue for the period 1641 -1700. Our Catalogue additionally lists periodical material for the whole period (included by STC but excluded by Wing), and Statutes for the Wing period.
