Synopsis
Rose has news for Celia – she is due to have a baby by Celia’s husband, Humphrey. Soon after, the seeds of scandal bear a criminal fruit when a body is discovered in Little Venice along with Rose’s handbag. À propos de l'auteur
Nina Bawden (1925–2012) was an English novelist and Golden PEN Award for her services to literature. Mostly known as a children’s writer she won many awards such as the 1976 Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize for The Peppermint Pig (1975) and was runner-up for the Carnegie Medal for Carrie’s War (1973). She wrote two gritty and atmospheric crime novels.
