Hardcover. Etat : Fair. Mining by Hugh Bodey, published by B. T. Batsford Ltd in 1976, part of the Past-into-Present Series. This hardback explores the history of mining in Britain, illustrated with a mix of period engravings and photographs, including images relating to Durham Miners' Association and Conishead Priory Convalescent Home. The green cloth boards show noticeable fading and discolouration, particularly across the back cover, with a strip of tape residue at the lower corner. The spine shows wear at both the head and tail, with some splitting visible at the base. The title page carries a Sandwell Public Libraries stamp and a handwritten '622' annotation, along with a printed code reading 77 12380J. Text pages appear clean with illustrations reproduced clearly. The dust jacket is present and depicts mining scenes front and back, though it shows surface wear consistent with handling and age.
