Curtis by John Avis. Green boards, silver-gilt title & shotgun on spine. Minor faults, slight lean to spine / slight use / browning to end-papers and edges. Good copy in slightly frayed / stained dust-wrapper. Alf Curtis was born in Waltham Abbey, in Essex. In later life, he kept a fishing tackle shop (in Edmonton, North London?). There he met the writer, Fred J. Speakman, and told him his story.
