Jane Perryman has an international reputation as a ceramicist working within the area of handbuilding and smoke firing. She exhibits worldwide and is the author of Smoke Firing, Smoke-fired Pottery, Naked Clay and Traditional Pottery of India. She contributes regularly to Ceramic Review and other international ceramics publications.
Susan Peterson, Professor Emerita from Hunter College, City University of New York was a practising ceramicist whose work has been shown throughout the world. She wrote many pottery-related books, including The Craft and Art of Clay, Pottery by American Women, Contemporary Ceramics and Working with Clay.
