Présentation de l'éditeur

Christine Porter brings a wealth of practical teaching and design experience to this exciting collection of pieced patchwork quilt designs, all inspired by traditional floor tiles. Christine first noticed the relationship between patchwork and tiles when exploring the churches and cathedrals of her native Bristol. Here she provides 10 original patterns, together with variations on each, to inspire the reader to discover this wonderful source of pieced patchwork designs for themselves. Time-saving techniques are explored giving the reader more time to create eye-catching quilts. Guidance is provided on selecting fabric, and the author explores how the use of marblized fabrics can replicate original stone floor tiles.
