Jack McLean has been a writer, broadcaster and award-winning columnist for three decades. He has also been an art teacher, illustrator, copy-writer, musician and restaurateur. His interest in food streches back to his days as a waiter, barman and commis chef. For some time he wrote an acclaimed column 'Table For One' for the Herald. He has written six books.
