Synopsis
This third edition provides an introduction to normal and abnormal heart and lung sounds. The book includes chapters on prosthetic heart valve sounds, murmurs and pacemaker and catheter sounds. The accompanying cassette tape introduces the listener to normal and abnormal heart and lung sounds, including first and second heart sounds, clicks and snaps. An appendix comparing stethoscope sounds is included as well as a section on asthma and its effects on heart and lung sounds.
