Written Calculation comprises six pupil books, six Answer Books, a Teacher's Guide and a Teacher's Resource Book and uses methods recommended in the National Curriculum. Written Calculation: Division 1 leads pupils through the necessary steps for mastering short division. Pupils beginning this book should have an understanding of the value of digits in two- and three-digit numbers and experience of multiplying and dividing small numbers. This book provides:
- 18 carefully structured steps to guide the learner towards full mastery of each written method
- problem solving questions
- the written method of short division
- three Check-up tests and a Final test to monitor progress.
