Synopsis
Spanning three generations, this novel opens in France in the 1870s with the marriage of the beautiful Laure to Philippe de Naillac, heir to the chateau and vineyards of Casseuil. As the estate falls into deeper debt, Philippe commits suicide, but Laure determines to revive the vineyard. Helen Cannam has also written "A Kind of Paradise".
