The author was an electronic engineer who for many years ran his own business making electronic equipment, and later in life turned his attention to philosophical matters. He was also a student of George Gurdjieff and P. D. Ouspensky, and he wrote several books about their teachings, including 'Gurdjieff in Action' and 'The Gurdjieff Inheritance'. Reyner's books explore the practical application of Gurdjieff's and Ouspensky's teachings, particularly in relation to the Fourth Way although the source material for this title is the teachings of Christ with reinterpretations based on the original text of the gospels.
