How often we use expressions like, ‘thank you for doing that, you’re such an angel’, without really thinking about it, referring to angels as helpful and rather sweet, possibly with a picture in mind of a tall female with big feathery wings. Sister Raphael SLG was a teacher for thirty-two years before entering the Community of the Sisters of the Love of God in 1983. Here she has helped with catering and gardening (she likes to potter) and for a number of years was Assistant Oblate Guardian.
