Bishop Rowan Williams (b. 1950) is a world-renowned theologian and poet who served as the 104th Archbishop of Canterbury (2002–2012). Previously the Archbishop of Wales, his tenure at Lambeth Palace was marked by a commitment to Anglican unity and a prophetic voice on global justice. Following his time as Archbishop, he served as Master of Magdalene College, Cambridge. In retirement he serves as Warden to the sisters of Ty Mawr Convent. A prolific author, his works range from academic studies like Arius (1987) to spiritual guides such as Being Christian (2014). He continues to write and lecture internationally, remaining one of the most influential voices in contemporary Christianity.
