Victor Barker, born in England, has lived and worked in Europe, Africa, the South Pacific and Australia as a novelist, writer-in-residence, lecturer in creative writing, poet, newspaper reporter and scriptwriter. In his youth, Victor Barker spent years as a deckhand on merchant ships and then as an international journalist. He lives in Tasmania and France. In 2005 he acquired his backlist and set up his own imprint - Snug House Publishing - under the wing of BookSurge LLC.
