Biographie de l'auteur

Robert S. Weinberg, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Physical Education, Health, and Sport Studies at Miami University in Ohio. Before coming to Miami University, Weinberg was a professor in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of North Texas from 1978 to 1992, including Regents Professor from 1988 to 1992. He was also voted one of the top 10 sport psychology specialists in North America by his peers.

In addition to teaching undergraduate sport psychology for more than 20 years, Weinberg has written extensively on topics related to sport psychology. He has published more than 125 journal articles and presented more than 250 scholarly papers at sport psychology conferences. He has served as president of both the North American Society for the Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity and the Association for the Advancement of Applied Sport Psychology. He also has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology and The Sport Psychologist. Currently he is editor of the Journal of Applied Sport Psychology. He is a certified consultant and a member of the United States Olympic Committee Sport Psychology Registry.

Daniel Gould, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Exercise and Sport Science at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. He has taught sport psychology for more than 20 years. An active researcher, Don has published more than 100 articles on sport psychology. He was also the founding coeditor of The Sport Psychologist.

Don has been voted one of the top 10 sport psychology specialists in North America and was the first Australian sport psychology scholar. In 1994, he received the university's coveted Alumni-Teaching Excellence Award, an all-campus teaching honor.

Gould is the former president of the Association for the Advancement of Applied Sport Psychology (1988-89) and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance Sport Psychology Academy (1986). In addit
