Author Michael Perna Jr. is a lifelong Shrewsbury resident. For several years, he has written weekly historical articles for the Shrewsbury Chronicle. He is the author of Remembering Lake Quinsigamond: From Steamboats to White City. He is also a past president of the Shrewsbury Historical Society and a member of the Shrewsbury Historic District Commission.
