Dr. Shannon Grey has had a successful career in education for over eighteen years. She graduated with honors with a B.S. in Early Childhood Development from New York University. Dr. Grey received her Masters of Education from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey's Graduate School of Education, with a specialization in Elementary Language Arts. She earned her doctorate of education from Rutgers in the area of Sociological and Philosophical Foundations of Education, specializing in Curriculum Theory and Development.
Dr. Grey taught elementary school for thirteen years in highly acclaimed public schools. During her time as a teacher she served as a mentor for novice educators, a staff developer, and the chairperson of several school-based and district-wide committees. Dr. Grey was also the co-creator of a summer institute aimed at instructing students in the areas of language arts and mathematics. She has contributed to several REA publications. As a faculty lecturer, she has taught classes in teacher education at Rutgers University.
