Synopsis
One Saturday it rains so hard on Bonnie Bumble's farm, it washes the blue right out of the sky! Everything turns blue, including the chicken's eggs, the cow's milk, even the grass and the trees. "This can't go on", says Bonnie Bumble, who is starting to feel blue herself. So she sets about getting everything the right colour again. Well, almost everything!

Phyllis Root is the author of the picture books Sam Who Was Swallowed by a Shark; The Hungry Monster; Mrs Potter's Pig; Aunt Nancy and Old Man Trouble; Aunt Nancy and Cousin Lazybones; What Baby Wants; One Duck Stuck; All For the Newborn Baby, illustrated by Nicola Bayley and Rattletrap Car as well as the other Bonnie Bumble stories, Meow Monday, Turnover Tuesday, One Windy Wednesday and Foggy Friday. She also writes for the Walker Brand New Readers series, for first-time readers. Phyllis lives in Minnesota, USA. Helen Craig started illustrating children's books in 1970 - while bringing up her son - and has since completed over thirty more, including several titles about Angelina Ballerina and, for Walker, Crumbling Castle; Mary Mary; four This Is the Bear books; One Windy Wednesday; Turnover Tuesday; Foggy Friday, The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse (shortlisted for the Smarties Book Prize) and Charlie and Tyler at the Seaside. She lives in Aylesbury.
