Synopsis
This is the true beautiful game. There's nothing like the crack of the cue ball on the blac k...the smooth roll across the baize...the silent drop into the pocket. Jamie may reckon himself a bit of a Ronnie O'Sullivan, but he's just gone and snookered himself. He's bet junior snooker champion Colin Dobson (alias Creeping Death) [pound]100 that he can beat him! Things get more complicated. Jamie's long-absent, hard-living dad's just crashed back on the scene like a cue ball smashing into the pack. But could this be the break that Jamie needs? Maybe "the living legend" can teach him what it takes to be a winner. Maybe. Then again, maybe not.

À propos de l?auteur
Jon Blake started writing for children in 1981, when he was an English teacher. He has now written over thirty books, including The Supreme Dream Machine; Little Stupendo, which was shortlisted for the Children's Book Award; and the picture book You're a Hero, Daley B!. His children's television drama, Life, was shortlisted for a Writers Guild Award and he has also written several plays for adults. Jon taught Creative Writing at the University of Glamorgan for several years, and now lives in Cardiff, visiting schools regularly and teaching community writing courses in the Rhondda.
