This accessible little paperback book explains the background to our popular Christmas traditions - including Santa Claus, Christmas cards, Christmas trees, Christmas carols and turkey - and retells the story of the first Christmas, from the start of Mary's pregnancy through to the visits by the three wise men. The author also examines the concept of 'peace' in a world in which conflict and chaos seem to reign. He looks at why Jesus was born and what he did, believed and taught while he was on earth. The final chapter of the book includes a prayer which can be used by those wanting to receive Jesus into their hearts this Christmas.

J.JOHN is an international speaker and writer and the director of The Philo Trust, a charity committed to communicating the relevance of the Christian faith.
