Synopsis
This is a pupil-centred introduction to a range of technologies, from making a peashooter to solar heating, covering many of the areas of knowledge specified by the National Curriculum programmes of study. It fosters an active problem-solving approach throughout, and shows how the design process can be used to identify and address problems, placing technology in relevant contemporary contexts - home, school and community, and the worlds of work and leisure.
