Emer Martin is one of the most exceptional young writers to emerge recently from Ireland. Born in Dublin, she worked in London, France, Italy and Israel before moving to the United States where she now lives. Her first novel, Breakfast in Babylon, won Book of the Year in Ireland at the prestigious Listowel Writers' Week, she has also been awarded the prestigious Guggenheim Fellowship to complete her third novel.
