John Miller has been involved in the driver training industry for over 35 years. A qualified and experienced instructor trainer and LGV instructor, for many years he ran his own driving school for car and lorry drivers, together with an instructor training facility. He is now a consultant to the driver training industry.

John Miller is the author of The Driving Instructor's Handbook, which is listed by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency as recommended reading material for the Approved Driving Instructors' exams, and Practical Teaching Skills for Driving Instructors, both published by Kogan Page.

The late Margaret Stacey served on the Management Committee of ADITE - The Approved Driving Instructors' Training Establishment directory (now ORDIT) - as the representative of The Approved Driving Instructors' National Joint Council. She was a secretary to the Steering Committee that formulated the standards for the NVQ in Driving Instruction. She was a Driving Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor and qualified tutor and had well over 30 years' experience within the driving instruction industry.

Margaret Stacey was author of Learn to Drive in 10 Easy Stages (published by Kogan Page), The Advanced Driver's Handbook and the AUTODRIVA Instructor Home Study Programme, which is used, on licence, by other training establishments throughout the UK.
