Cary L. Cooper CBE is the President of the CIPD and the Distinguished Professor of Organizational Psychology and Health at Lancaster and Manchester Universities. He is Founding Editor of the Journal of Organizational Behavior and Editor-in-Chief of the medical journal Stress & Health. He is a Fellow of the British Psychological Society, The Royal Society of Arts, The Royal Society of Medicine, The Royal Society of Public Health, The British Academy of Management and an Academician of the Academy of Social Sciences. Professor Cooper has been Chair of the UK's Academy of Social Sciences since July 2009. He is now Chair of the Chronic Disease and Wellbeing Global Agenda Council of the World Economic Forum.

Stefan Stern has been writing about management and leadership for over two decades. He has worked for the BBC, Management Today magazine and the Financial Times, where he was the management columnist between 2006 and 2010. He continues to write for the FT, the Guardian and the International Business Times. He is Visiting Professor in management practice at Cass Business School, City University, London?. He is also director of the High Pay Centre, a think tank which looks at the issue of top pay.
