After graduating and doing research into physics, Neville Evans taught physics and science in secondary schools and higher education. For most of his career, he was a member of Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Schools and Colleges in Wales. His main work was to do with science in scholos and colleges. He retired from the post in August 1998.
