The author, Rob Bowden, is a freelance educationalist, author and photographer specialising in environmental, development and social issues. He has taught at several UK universities and written numerous children's books. The consultant, Dr Glyn Williams, is a Lecturer in Geography at the Department of Earth Sciences and Geography, Keele University. His research interests are in development geography, and he has been conducting research in India since 1992.
