Although technology has developed significantly, and continues to change at a rapid pace, this third edition of PC Based Instrumentation and Control contains a measure of guidance on computer control, instrumentation and data acquisition using a standard PC and some of the most popular computer languages.
Numerous examples of configurations and working circuits, as well as representative software, offer basic hands-on guidance to implementing PC-based testing and calibration systems and increasing efficiency. It shows some methods for modifying the circuits and software routines.
The third edition gives some coverage of PC hardware, bus systems, and virtual instruments. It introduces programming and software development in a 32-bit environment. Biographie de l'auteur
Mike Tooley is a technical author and consultant. He was formerly Vice Principal at Brooklands College in Surrey, England, where he was responsible for the delivery of learning to over 10,000 Further and Higher Education students increasingly by flexible, open and on-line distance learning. Mike is the well-known author of several popular engineering and related text books, including widely adopted course texts for BTEC, GCE A-level and GCSE qualifications in Engineering. Mike's hobbies include astronomy, amateur radio, aviation, computing and electronic circuit design and construction.
