As Senior Lecturer in the school of Construction Economics and Management at South Bank University, Dr Shamil Naoum is well-placed to write a book on the ins and outs of dissertation research and writing for construction students. Dr Naoum's own student days began in Baghdad, Iraq where he acquired a BSc in Building and Construction Engineering, before moving to England where he studied at Aston and Brunel University.
