This second selection from around Neath in the Archive Photographs Series further illustrates the history of this once thriving industrial town. Using many unpublished images, the authors have extended the scope of the first collection to include such images as the rare poster setting out the train schedule foe the train journey from Neath to Brecon which carried Madam Patti's wedding guests and photographs showing the interiors of the GWR garages at Cadoxton. The book takes in all aspects of lie, from transport and industry to schooldays, religion, sport and leisure. It records buildings, streets and townscapes that have now disappeared which will re-awaken memories among older residents, while showing young the face of the town as it used to be. In this selection, the author brings alive once more the sights and scenes of Neath and its environs.
