Synopsis
The day Jason Campbell bought his first pair of cowboy boots was the day his life changed for ever. For a start, there was someone who actually mattered at one of his gigs - who liked his songs, and his singing, and wanted him to be the support act when big-time country singer Calista Shaw did her UK tour. He'd put himself back together after getting mixed up in the Phil Gator business (Frankie Bosser Comes Home), when he'd been inadvertently instrumental in getting Gator sent down for a very long time indeed. So when Teddy Peppers gets out of jail and turns up in Jason's neighbourhood, it's seriously bad news. Because Peppers has been given a job to do, and it involves doing Jason a great deal of damage ...
