"HIPPO DID IT!" When Dog comes to stay, he causes chaos - but whenever he makes a muddle and a mess he blames someone else. Poor Hippo and Lion get so fed up they threaten to leave, and Dog realises he will have to own up. Poor Dog is scared he won't be allowed to stay if he tells the truth, but Ruby soon shows him that they love him just the way he is. A charming story, full of wit and fun, which both adults and children will adore. Young readers will identify with the theme of fibbing, and be reassured by the positive resolution.
