George Cohen was born in Kensington, London in 1939. He only ever played professional football for one club, Fulham FC. He made his first team debut in 1956 and made 408 league appearances. Injury cut short his playing career and he retired in 1968. He won his first England cap in 1964 and went on to make a total of 37 appearances for his country.
