In life you should use your talents. Right? But what if your main talent - and obsession - is for lifting pretty, expensive objects and dropping them into your handbag?
Melanie knows she's got to stop, and she will. She's just waiting for the right moment. The problem is, she's just too damn good at theft. Maybe she needs to get caught? But then when Drew, sexy, caring, sweet - and a loss-prevention lawyer with a peculiar aversion to the light-fingered in life - comes her way, her day of reckoning could be closer than she expected.
Mary Carter is a freelance writer and a graduate of the Amerian Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. After five years of acting, temping and waiting tables, she won a scholarship for her second degree in Sign Language Interpreting at the Rochester Institute of Technology. She currently lives in Manhattan.

Paperback. Etat : Fair. Aspiring actress. Temp worker. Shoplifter. For Melanie Zeitgar, stealing is a lot like love: she knows the right thing when she sees it. Unfortunately, she sees it everywhere. She doesn't mean to take things. Just like she doesn't mean to fib about her career. Or continue eating chocolate. Or wait for a call from Ray, the Beautiful Musician Who Must Have Been in a Horrible Accident that Broke His Dialing Fingers. Melanie's number one rule--in life, love, and theft--is this: Don't Get Caught. But sometimes, even the best kleptomaniac has an off day. Now, with every part of her life veering out of control, Melanie's met a guy whose heart is hers for the taking--if she's brave enough to pay the price . . . Funny, outrageous, and touching. --Holly Chamberlin, author of The Summer Nanny. N° de réf. du vendeur 00105476538
