À propos des auteurs

Keijiro Otsuka is currently Professor and Director of the FASIDGRIPS Joint Graduate Program jointly organized by the Foundation for Advanced Studies on International Development and the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Tokyo. He holds an M.A. in Social Sciences from the Tokyo Metropolitan University and a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) in the Philippines. He is the President-elect for 2006–09 of the International Association of Agricultural Economists. His area of research interest includes development economics, industrial development and environmental economics. He has received several prestigious awards for his outstanding research publications.



Kaliappa Kalirajan is presently Professor at the Australian National University, Canberra and also Professor at the Foundation for Advanced Studies in International Development, Tokyo. He has taught econometrics, economic theory and economic development to undergraduate and graduate students in a number of universities. He has published widely in academic journals and has several books to his credit.
