Kathy Strong was formerly the Magazine Editor of The Desert Sun in Palm Springs and has also been a travel writer for 30 years. Strong has written more than 20 guidebooks and countless magazine features, covering all areas of the world. Her guidebooks currently available in bookstores are: Southern California Off the Beaten Path, Recommended Bed & Breakfasts: California, Driving the Pacific Coast: California, Driving the Pacific Coast: Washington and Oregon, and The Seattle Guidebook. Her popular Gannett newspaper column, “Going My Way,” appears in newspaper Travel sections weekly.
