A propos du livre

Présentation de l'éditeur

A kindhearted girl seeks out a solitary polar bear in a tender story of an unlikely friendship that is sure to warm even the coldest of hearts.

Far away in the land of snow and ice lives Cold Paws, a lonely polar bear. With only his silver flute for company, Cold Paws shivers and wonders why he always feels cold inside. But when young Hannah from the nearby village makes friends with him, that chilliness inside Cold Paws begins to melt away. A woolly scarf, a game of jumping jacks, a mug of steaming hot chocolate — what warm gesture will finally take the polar bear's icy feeling away for good?

Biographie de l'auteur

MADELEINE FLOYD is a painter and illustrator whose work has been published around the world. About COLD PAWS, she says, "A couple of years ago, I produced an oil painting of a large polar bear being offered a cup of hot chocolate. I was thinking about random acts of kindness and how a hot drink might be exactly what a polar bear might enjoy rather than his usual icy fish for lunch. Cold Paws, Warm Heart expands on this idea and is ultimately a simple story about love and friendship." Madeleine Floyd lives in West London with her husband, Michael, and their large cat, Captain.
