Dr. Frank-Stromborg is a Distinguished Research Professor and Chair of the School of Nursing at Northern Illinois University. Her specialty is oncology nursing with a focus on community based cancer prevention/early detection interventions. The recipient of many honors and awards, she has published extensively in nursing literature and is the author of seven books. She has received funding for her research from local, state, and federal sources including NCNR, NCI, Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety, and Department of Defense.
