Dr. Avery is a tenured professor of nursing at Western Connecticut State University in where she teacheson both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her area of expertise is maternal-newborn nursing andwomen's health. She received her BSN from the University of Bridgeport, MSN from Hunter College of theCity University of New York, and Ed.D. from Teacher's College-Columbia University. Achievements includethe presidency of the Kappa Alpha Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International and vice Presidency of TheAmerican Assembly for Men in Nursing. In addition, Dr. Avery produced a video exploring the opinions andpredictions of nurse leader Dr. Luther Christman entitled "A Conversation with Luther".

Vanessa Pomarico-Denino is a Family Nurse Practitioner in Private Practice specializing in Women's Health. She is a guest lecturer for Southern Connecticut State University, Fairfield University and the Yale Schoolof Nursing. She received her undergraduate nursing degree at the University of Bridgeport School ofNursing, Bidgeport, CT and her MSN in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at SCSU.

Dr. Wagner is an associate professor of nursing at Southern Connecticut State University in New HavenCT. Her area of practice is pediatric nursing. She received her BSN from Western Connecticut State University, Danbury, CT, her MSN from the University of Pennsylvania and her EdD from the University ofHartford.
